Both Horizon Zero Dawn and Death Stranding made their way over to our platform of choice, and have both done well (sans technical hiccups). Regardless, it’s clear that Sony wasn’t playing when it mentioned bringing more first-party games to PC. We’ll have to wait for more information to show up. The Demon’s Souls remake will be on the PC, but we’re not entirely sure if it happen on the launch of the PS5 or even if it will be this year. The player traveled across barren wastes, hunting down giant monsters.

But the PC isn’t a console, right? Then what does this note truly tell us? Unfortunately, not much beyond the obvious. The original Shadow of the Colossus released in 2005 for the Playstation 2. It was all the way back in 2015 that I first wrote about a game called Prey For The Gods, an indie homage to Shadow of the Colossus. When it comes to such a fable-like story, that doesn't feel like an automatic improvement to me. Now, you're looking at a real thing happening, and imagination is not required.

The rest of the note reads that the game is not “available on other consoles for a limited time.” The “other consoles” part is, of course, the poor Xbox Series X. Before, the game felt like a dreamscape that required your animation to fill in the gaps. In fact, the game is a timed exclusive for the PlayStation 5. Yes, the Demon’s Souls remake is heading to the PC. In the smallest text Sony was willing to use, there was an intriguing little note: “Also available on PC.” Or was it? Near the end of the trailer, we got a surprise almost equal to that of God of War 2. As a PC player, the feeling was bittersweet. We watched excitedly as our unnamed knight cut through monsters. However, most of us found it hard to tear our eyes away from the gameplay trailer for the Demon’s Souls remake. I know I’m excited about the surprise God of War sequel announcement, myself.
Sony has wrapped up its second livestream event for its upcoming PlayStation 5. The Demon’s Souls remake is heading to PS5 as an exclusive. After Kotaku reached out to Sony, the console manufacturer told the site that the trailer noting the game would come to other consoles and PC was “a mistake.” The representative told Kotaku it was due to “human error” that the mistaken information made it into the trailer. : Not long after the PlayStation event, Sony removed the Demon’s Souls remake trailer.
